Pune: BJP names Pankaja Munde, Yogesh Tilekar, Amit Gorkhe, Parinay Phuke and Sadabhau Khot for Legislative Council polls

Pune: The Maha Yuti has received a major setback in the Lok Sabha elections. All political parties are now bracing for the Legislative Council elections in the State. Aspirants are meeting senior party leaders.

The Legislative Council polls will take place on July 12 for 11 seats. Results will be declared on the same day. Probable names from the BJP were being discussed in political circles. The BJP is taking every step cautiously after the drubbing in the Lok Sabha. BJP National General Secretary Arun Singh has issued a release in this regard.

The five names announced by the BJP are: Pankaja Munde, Yogesh Tilekar, Amit Gorkhe, Parnay Phuke and Sadabhau Khot.

It was said that names would be announced with an eye on the upcoming Legislative Assembly polls. It is said that the party candidates list reflects a balance among major castes in the State. Opportunity has also been given to an alliance partner.
