The grand gift ceremony was held at Rajinikanth’s residence, marking the movie’s remarkable achievement in crossing the Rs 600 crore mark in global box office collections. Alongside the stunning BMW X7, Maran also brought a BMW i7 EV sedan for Rajinikanth to choose from. Reports suggest that a cheque of approximately Rs 100 crore accompanied this lavish present, acknowledging the superstar’s contribution to the movie’s phenomenal success.
The video of this heartwarming exchange captured the actor and producer stepping into the garden and parking area of Rajinikanth’s residence. Maran proudly displayed both vehicles, the BMW X7 and the BMW i7 EV sedan, parked in front of the legendary actor. Rajinikanth first chose to experience the opulence of the BMW X7, taking a seat in the spacious rear cabin. He then graciously tested the comfort of the rear seat in the BMW i7 EV sedan. The pivotal moment arrived when Maran handed over the keys to the BMW X7, Rajinikanth’s chosen gift.
The surprise didn’t end there. Reports have unveiled that prior to the car handover, Rajinikanth was presented with an envelope. Inside this envelope was a remarkable profit-sharing cheque for the movie “Jailer” – a staggering Rs 100 crore. This substantial sum is distinct from the actor’s initial remuneration for the film, which amounted to Rs 110 crore.
