Pune, 18th July 2023: The Pimpri Chinchwad Police have successfully apprehended a 24-year-old individual in the Bhatnagar area, resulting in the seizure of ganja worth Rs 1.2 lakh. The accused, identified as Dipak Sikandar Indrekar, has been taken into custody and booked by the police in connection with the case.
Acting on received information about the sale of ganja in the area, the police team set up a trap on Monday. Their efforts paid off when they managed to apprehend the accused. Approximately 4 kilograms of ganja were confiscated from the individual.
The Pimpri Police Station has registered a case in accordance with sections 8(c), 20(b)(ii)(b) of the Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS). Further investigation into the matter is currently underway.
