Maharashtra TET 2024 Faces Postponement Due to Technical Challenges

The Maharashtra Teacher Eligibility Test (Maha TET) 2024, originally scheduled for February, is facing a delay due to technical issues, according to officials from the Maharashtra State Council of Examination (MSCE). The council has communicated to the state government about challenges in conducting the exam in Marathi, English, and Urdu. As efforts to address the technical problems are underway, the exam may now be rescheduled for April.

The state government had planned to conduct the TET twice a year, with the February session being the first for 2024. Application forms have already been accepted by the education department. However, due to technical difficulties in managing the examination in three different languages, the MSCE has decided to postpone the exam.

A senior education officer stated, “The exam has to be postponed because we are having technical issues with conducting it in three different mediums.”

Notably, Tukaram Supe, the former chairman and commissioner of the MSCE, faced legal issues in December 2021. The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) detained him on charges of exploiting his position to commit irregularities during the TET conducted in January 2020.
