Mumbai, 5th July 2023: Kangana Ranaut, the talented Bollywood actress, has recently announced the release date of her highly anticipated film, Tejas. Taking to Instagram, she revealed that the film is scheduled to hit theaters on October 20. Interestingly, this sets up a clash with Tiger Shroff and Kriti Sanon’s film, Ganpath. Alongside the release date announcement, Kangana also treated fans with a glimpse of Tejas through a couple of new stills.
In the first photo, Kangana is seen wearing an airforce uniform as she steps out of an aircraft. The second still captures her in an action-packed scene, covered in dust as she walks away from a burning car. These captivating images have created a buzz among fans, who are now eagerly awaiting the release of the film. Kangana shared the stills on Instagram, paying tribute to the bravery of our heroic Air Force pilots while revealing the release date of Tejas.
It’s worth mentioning that Tejas is now set to release on the same date that Kangana initially chose for her directorial project, Emergency. The film revolves around the Emergency period during Indira Gandhi’s rule in India and was originally slated for an October 20 release. However, since Vikas Bahl had already reserved the same date for Ganpath, Kangana made the decision to alter the release date.
In February, Kangana took to Twitter to share her thoughts on the matter. She mentioned that while searching for a suitable release date for Emergency, she noticed that the movie calendar for this year seemed quite vacant, possibly due to the setbacks faced by the Hindi film industry. Considering her post-production timelines, Kangana finalized October 20. However, within a week, Bhushan Kumar, owner of T-Series, announced his film for the same date. Kangana pointed out that the entire months of October, November, December, and even September were available, and on October 20th, Mr. Amitabh Bachchan and Tiger Shroff unveiled their highly ambitious project, causing excitement throughout the entertainment industry. She humorously speculated about panic meetings among the Bollywood mafia gangs.
As for Emergency, the release date has now been shifted to November 24.
Tejas, written and directed by Sarvesh Mewara, follows the extraordinary journey of Tejas Gill, an Air Force pilot. The film aims to inspire and instill a deep sense of pride in every Indian by showcasing the tireless efforts of our Air Force pilots in defending our nation, despite facing numerous challenges along the way.
