Mumbai, August 16, 2023: The much-anticipated Welcome 3 has been making waves, and fans can now rejoice as the title for the upcoming installment in the series has been revealed: Welcome To The Jungle. Producer Firoz Nadiadwala recently shared this exciting news, announcing that Welcome 3 is scheduled to hit the silver screens during Christmas in the following year.
Firoz A Nadiadwala has locked in Christmas 2024 as the release date for Welcome 3. The third chapter in the Welcome franchise has been christened Welcome To The Jungle. This family-friendly entertainment will grace the audience during the festive season of Christmas 2024,” reported trade analyst Taran Adarsh, conveying this momentous update.
Interestingly, the first Welcome movie also debuted on Christmas in 2007, with its sequel following suit in 2015.
However, there are notable changes in the cast lineup for Welcome 3. Nana Patekar and Anil Kapoor, who portrayed the iconic duo Uday Bhai and Majnu Bhai in the previous Welcome films, will not be reprising their roles. Instead, according to a report by Pinkvilla, Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi are set to take on the roles of the notorious gangsters Majnu and Uday.
“Among the trio of films produced by Firoz Nadiadwala, Welcome seems to be taking the lead, given that the script has been in preparation for a while now. The filmmaker plans to inject a new twist into the comedic storyline by casting Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi as the infamous gangsters – Majnu and Uday. Having already showcased their camaraderie as Munna and Circuit, this marks a new dimension for them in a fresh franchise,” revealed an insider source cited by the entertainment portal.
Adding to the excitement, Arshad Warsi confirmed his involvement in Welcome 3 last month. In an interview with Hindustan Times, the actor stated, “The magnitude of Welcome 3, both in terms of budget and the climactic sequences, is beyond imagination. It’s an incredibly grand theatrical production that I am honored to be a part of. The cast includes myself, Akshay Kumar, Sanju (Sanjay Dutt), Paresh Rawal, and a host of other talents.” With a star-studded cast and the promise of uproarious laughter, Welcome to the Jungle is set to make Christmas 2024 an unforgettable cinematic experience.
