Director Anil Sharma reunites with Sunny Deol, once again bringing to life the mesmerizing tale that captivated audiences in Gadar: Ek Prem Katha. Sunny Deol will reprise his iconic role as Tara Singh, while Ameesha Patel will once again portray the character of Sakeena.
The release date for Gadar 2 is set for August 11, and the film has already received a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Indian Army, as per recent reports. To obtain the NOC, the film’s makers organized a special screening for army personnel, as it is a mandatory requirement for any army-based film in India. The response from the officials was overwhelmingly positive, with the Ministry of Defence Preview Committee granting clearance to the film without any reservations. The Gadar 2 team was thrilled to receive such appreciation and support from the army.
In June, Zee Studios released the teaser of Gadar 2 on their official YouTube channel, igniting immense excitement and nostalgia among fans. Furthermore, the iconic hit song from Gadar, “Udd Jaa Kaale Kaava,” has been recreated for the sequel. The new version, sung by Alka Yagnik and Udit Narayan, was recently unveiled and has already amassed over 25 million views on YouTube. The music video features Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel, further heightening the anticipation surrounding the film.
Produced by Zee Studios, Gadar 2 is all set for its theatrical release on August 11. However, it will face tough competition at the box office as it clashes with the release of Oh My God 2, starring Akshay Kumar.
