This decision, made in anticipation of the consecration ceremony of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, reflects a collective effort to honor the sentiments of the Qureshi community and foster a spirit of unity.

Celebration and Closure: A Joyous Gesture

Sadiq Qureshi, the AIJQAC chief for Western Maharashtra, shared the organization’s plans for the day, stating, “On January 22, the Qureshi community in Pune will suspend their businesses to participate in the consecration ceremony of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. This is a joyous occasion for the community, as Lord Ram is revered across religions.” In addition to the closures, AIJQAC intends to spread communal joy by distributing laddus and pedhas.

In a noteworthy collective decision in Kunjirwadi village, Pune, residents have collectively agreed to refrain from consuming non-vegetarian food on January 22. Following a meeting led by the village’s sarpanch, local chicken, mutton, and liquor shops voluntarily decided to remain closed on this day. This collaborative effort demonstrates a shared commitment to creating a celebratory atmosphere and respecting the sentiments of those participating in the historic ceremony.
