Starry Movie Nights: Bengaluru Woman’s Balcony Cinema Garners Internet Praise, Netflix Responds

A Bengaluru woman’s innovative movie-watching setup has captured the internet’s imagination, creating a stir that even caught the attention of Netflix India. Shreyanshi Shah recently shared her unique cinematic experience, enjoying a movie projected on her balcony wall under the open sky, creating a charming ‘under the stars’ ambiance.

Shah posted a picture on X, showcasing her cozy balcony setup with a projector ingeniously propped up on books. The image quickly gained traction, leading to a response from Netflix India. Reacting to the post, the streaming giant humorously commented, “I would cry watching Swades here.”

Users on X applauded Shah’s creative idea for utilizing her balcony space, with many expressing admiration for the tranquil and picturesque setting.

One user commended the concept for a perfect home date, saying, “Great idea for a dinner and movie at home date!” Another user playfully daydreamed about enjoying the experience if they were Shah’s neighbor, stating, “Had I been your neighbor, I wouldn’t even have to worry about the process of selecting which movie or series to watch. Would’ve just sat on a vantage location in my balcony and enjoyed. Am daydreaming now.”

Shah’s post not only garnered praise but also inspired other X users to replicate the setup in their own homes. Some expressed their gratitude for the idea, with one user saying, “Thanks for the idea, I have a balcony with very similar vibes. Was planning to add a foldable table. Will plan accordingly now.”

As the post went viral, Shah received requests from several users asking for details about the projector. However, some users shared concerns about mosquitoes hindering their outdoor movie experience, to which one user humorously commented, “Mosquitoes in my balcony won’t allow this.”

In the midst of the positive responses, there were also individuals who preferred the simplicity of watching the real stars from their balcony, expressing sentiments like, “To each his own, but I would be sipping on my preferred beverage and watch the real stars and the world go by.”
