Mr. Beast Takes a Leap: Debut on X Amasses 10 Million Views in Less Than 24 Hours

In a surprising move that’s shaking up the digital landscape, James Stephen “Jimmy” Donaldson, popularly known as Mr. Beast, has shifted gears from YouTube to X (formerly Twitter) and is making headlines with a staggering ten million views on his first video.

The renowned YouTuber, famous for his extravagant stunts and giveaways, uploaded an ad clip titled “$1 Car vs $100,000,000 Car!!!” on X, prompting a wave of anticipation among his audience. This move follows a suggestion by Elon Musk, owner of X, in response to a fan’s comment, proposing that MrBeast explore the potential of uploading on X.

MrBeast’s Initial Thoughts on Transition

Addressing the shift, MrBeast initially expressed reservations about the financial viability of his videos on X, stating, “My videos cost millions to make, and even if they got a billion views on X, it wouldn’t fund a fraction of it :/.” However, he indicated openness to experimentation, mentioning, “I’m down though to test stuff once monetization is really cranking!”

The video’s caption on X reads, “I’m curious how much ad revenue a video on X would make, so I’m reuploading this to test it. Will share ad rev next week.” Within less than 24 hours of its upload, the video has already surpassed 10 million views, showcasing the potential for growth on the X platform.

Comparing YouTube and X Metrics

With a massive YouTube following of over 225 million subscribers, MrBeast has quickly garnered 25 million followers on X. Notably, X initiated its ad revenue-sharing program last year, attracting creators with substantial ad revenue rewards. This strategic move is now seemingly paying off with the inclusion of high-profile content creators like Mr. Beast.

MrBeast’s Financial Standing on YouTube

On YouTube, MrBeast’s estimated monthly earnings range between $3-5 million, combining revenue from ads and sponsorships. Forbes suggests that this income positions him within the top 40 of their Celebrity 100 list, outperforming notable figures such as Billie Eilish, Kim Kardashian, Angelina Jolie, and even K-pop sensation BTS.

Despite the lucrative earnings on YouTube, MrBeast’s commitment to pushing creative boundaries is evident. In a 2022 interview with Rolling Stone, he stated, “I could be doing cheaper videos, but I just don’t want to. I want to push the boundaries to go bigger, bigger.”

This bold move by Mr. Beast signals a potential shift in the dynamics of online content creation, and the audience eagerly awaits the unfolding chapters of his digital journey on the X platform.
