Chaos in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar as Rampaging Horse Bites 12 People

A wave of panic swept through Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar as a horse unleashed chaos, biting 12 individuals, including an elderly couple, in a startling rampage on Friday.

The harrowing ordeal unfolded in Panduranga Nagar, Vadwali Shivar, where the frenzied horse targeted a group of bystanders, inflicting injuries on five to six individuals, including Narahari Gaikwad and his wife, Sumanbai.

Swift action from villagers facilitated the prompt evacuation of the injured couple to the government hospital in Paithan for urgent medical attention. Subsequently, they were transferred to Ghati Hospital in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar for further treatment. However, the rampage didn’t end there, as the horse proceeded to another area, sinking its teeth into several more unsuspecting victims.

The alarming incident has left the local community rattled, with concerns mounting over safety and the unpredictability of such aggressive animal behaviour.

Reflecting on the terrifying encounter, Narahari Gaikwad recounted, “It was terrifying. The horse came out of nowhere and bit us without any warning.”

Authorities have launched an investigation into the incident to ascertain the underlying cause behind the horse’s sudden aggression. Meanwhile, residents are advised to exercise caution and promptly report any abnormal animal behaviour to prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future.
