In the era of seamless online deliveries, platforms like Blinkit have become indispensable for many. However, a recent incident has sparked concerns as a Blinkit user took to social media to complain about not receiving a promised free can of Coke with his order, leading to accusations of fraudulent practices.
Delivery Discontent: Blinkit User Feels Cheated Over Missing Freebie
Md Adil Rashid Khan, a Blinkit user, shared his disappointment on social media, posting screenshots of his order and the subsequent conversation with Blinkit Support. His order included a NIC Tender Coconut Ice Cream Tub and an Amul Butterscotch Gold Ice Cream Tub, with a total cost of ₹533, inclusive of handling charges and a Feeding India donation.
The cause of his dismay? Despite an assurance of a complimentary can of Coke, the user found it missing from his delivered parcel. The ensuing communication with the store and customer care yielded three different reasons for the omission, adding to the user’s frustration.
Blinkit’s Response: Out of Stock Explanation Raises Eyebrows
In the shared chat screenshot, Blinkit Support, represented by Sania, responded to the complaint by stating that the free Coke can was not included due to it being out of stock. The user was told, “Unfortunately, the item was out of stock. It may have caused the issue. Please know that our freebies are only available while the stock lasts.”
This response, however, has prompted skepticism among users, raising questions about the app’s inventory management and the transparency of its promotional offerings.
