Amazon Customer’s Shocking Encounter: ‘Fake’ iPhone 15 Delivered, Sparks Social Media Outcry

A prominent social media personality, known as “Gabbar Singh,” recently took to the platform to share a disconcerting experience with his 1.5 million followers after receiving what he claims is a ‘fake’ iPhone 15 from Amazon. The entrepreneur, also the co-founder of the Social Network “Hood” and founder of the advertising and marketing agency “Ginger Monkey,” expressed his dismay by posting an image of the questionable device.

In a tweet directed at Amazon India, he wrote, “Waah @amazonIN delivered a Fake iPhone 15. Seller is Appario. Tagged with ‘Amazon choice.’ No cable in the box. Total Dabba. Has anyone faced a similar issue?”

The tweet quickly gained attention, drawing a swift response from Amazon, which apologized and urged the user to fill in a form for a resolution. The social media team assured the user of a response within 6-12 hours.

Notably, the user wasn’t alone in his grievances, as others shared their own frustrating encounters. One user received an unexpected “Sulf Excel” instead of “Surf Excel,” while another reported a mix-up in deliveries, receiving a vacuum cleaner instead of the anticipated laptop, both from the same seller, Appario Retail.

The trend continued with additional complaints, including a customer who ordered a Nokia 42 5G but received it without a charger, and another who received a purportedly non-new iPhone. The dissatisfaction culminated in a user reaching out to Amazon’s top executives, Andy and Jeff, ultimately resulting in a resolution after initial challenges with customer service.

It’s not uncommon for dissatisfied users to turn to social media to air grievances about incorrect products and delays in customer service responses. The exposure on social platforms often prompts companies to take immediate action to rectify the issues.
