The Mix Fold 3 boasts an even sleeker design, with dimensions of only 5.26mm when unfolded and 10.89mm when folded. This impressive reduction in size was achieved through the implementation of a vertically stacked motherboard, a novel engineering feat by Xiaomi’s experts.
Revolutionary Hinge and Durability
Xiaomi has not only reduced the device’s physical dimensions but also crafted an entirely new proprietary hinge. Comprising 198 components and occupying 17% less internal space, this advanced hinge design features a 3-element structure and 14 micro-hinges. These elements securely enclose the main folding display, enhancing the device’s durability and robustness. Additionally, a carbon ceramic steel rotating mechanism has been incorporated into the hinge, allowing users to position the phone at angles ranging from 45° to 135°, mimicking the convenience of a mini laptop.
Immersive Display
The Mix Fold 3 boasts dual E6 OLED displays. The primary 8.03-inch LTPO panel exhibits a resolution of 1,960 x 2,160 pixels and supports a variable refresh rate of 120Hz. This display features Ultra Thin Glass (UTG) and extends support for HDR10+ and Dolby Vision technologies. On the exterior, a 6.56-inch LTPO OLED display is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2 and can achieve an impressive peak brightness of up to 2,560 nits in auto mode.
Advanced Camera System
Xiaomi has equipped the Mix Fold 3 with a versatile quad-camera system featuring Leica optics. The primary camera houses a 50MP Sony IMX800 sensor (equivalent to 23mm), accompanied by OIS for image stabilization. Furthermore, a 12MP ultrawide module (equivalent to 15mm) and two telephoto modules are included. These comprise a 10MP telephoto lens (75mm) with 3x zoom and a 10MP periscope module (115mm) capable of 5x optical zoom. Both telephoto modules incorporate OIS for enhanced image clarity.
Performance and Configuration
The Mix Fold 3 is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, delivering robust performance. It offers configurations with up to 16GB of RAM and a remarkable 1TB of storage. The device houses a spacious 4,800mAh battery, featuring the same 67W wired charging seen in its predecessor, while introducing an additional 50W wireless charging option. On the software front, it runs MIUI 14 based on Android 13.

Xiaomi offers variants of the Mix Fold 3 with glass and composite fiber backs, maintaining consistent pricing across both materials:
