Xiaomi 13T Series Launch Confirmed: Co-Engineered With Leica – Key Specs and Details

The much-anticipated Xiaomi 13T series is all set to make its grand debut on September 26, and it brings along an exciting collaboration with Leica. Lei Jun, Founder and CEO of Xiaomi, recently made the official announcement, revealing several key details about the upcoming launch.

Co-Engineered With Leica: A Leap in Smartphone Photography

One of the most intriguing aspects of the Xiaomi 13T series is its partnership with Leica, a renowned name in the world of photography. This collaboration suggests that users can expect some impressive Leica filters and enhancements in the phone’s default camera setup, promising a significant leap in smartphone photography.

Two Variants: Xiaomi 13T and 13T Pro

The Xiaomi 13T series will consist of two variants: the Xiaomi 13T and the Xiaomi 13T Pro. These smartphones are expected to offer distinct features and specifications to cater to a wide range of users.

Expected Specifications:

Display: Both the Xiaomi 13T and 13T Pro are likely to feature a 6.67-inch 1.5K OLED display. This display is anticipated to support a high 144Hz refresh rate, HDR 10+ for stunning visuals, and a punch-hole cutout for the front camera. HDR10+ support will enhance the overall visual experience.

Processor: The Xiaomi 13T will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8200-Ultra chipset, while the Pro variant will boast the more robust MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ chipset. These processors promise excellent performance and efficiency.

RAM and Storage: The Xiaomi 13T is expected to come with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. On the other hand, the Pro version will offer even more flexibility with options for 12GB, 16GB of RAM, and 256GB, 512GB, or a whopping 1TB of internal storage.

Battery: Both variants are set to feature a sizable 5,000mAh battery, ensuring extended usage. The Pro version is likely to include 120W fast charging support, and there’s a possibility of wireless charging as well.

Camera: Xiaomi 13T will sport an impressive camera setup that includes a 50MP primary Leica sensor with OIS (Optical Image Stabilization), a 50MP 2x telephoto lens, and a 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens. For selfies, it will feature a 20MP front camera.

Camera (Xiaomi 13T Pro): The higher-end Xiaomi 13T Pro will step up the camera game with a 50MP Sony IMX707 OIS primary camera, a 13MP Omnivision OV138 ultra-wide camera, and a 50MP Omnivision OVSOD telephoto lens. The front camera setup is expected to be the same.

Pricing: While prices are subject to change, initial rumors suggest that the Xiaomi 13T may start at around 549 GBP (approximately USD 690 or Rs. 57,310) for the 8GB + 256GB storage variant. Meanwhile, the Xiaomi 13T Pro is expected to be at a premium, with prices starting around £699 (approximately USD 878 or Rs. 72,965) for the 12GB + 512GB model and 999 Euros (approximately USD 1072 or Rs. 89,020) for the 16GB + 1TB model.
