Previously, the community participants list was already hidden in the community announcement group. However, users couldn’t interact with the community announcement group through message reactions without revealing their phone numbers. With the new phone number privacy feature, users can now add reactions to messages while keeping their phone numbers hidden. This significant privacy enhancement ensures that participants in the community cannot view complete contact details, providing peace of mind and maintaining the user’s privacy.
By implementing this feature, WhatsApp emphasizes its commitment to enhancing user privacy and security. Users can now engage with the community announcement group anonymously, without the fear of their phone numbers being exposed to other members. Windows users can now adjust the text size within the WhatsApp application according to their preferences.
