WhatsApp Introduces Animated Avatar Feature for Android Beta Users

WhatsApp is said to be working on a new feature for its Android beta version that will introduce animated avatars. The messaging platform, owned by Meta, aims to enhance user interactions by adding more life and personality to stickers through animated avatars. This feature is currently in development and is expected to be rolled out in a future update of the app.

According to WABetaInfo, the animated avatars will provide users with a more expressive communication experience. By bringing animations to avatars, WhatsApp seeks to make conversations more engaging and dynamic. The animated avatar feature will add an extra layer of visual appeal to the platform’s sticker collection.

In addition to animated avatars, WhatsApp recently introduced a feature on its Android beta version that allows users to send high-quality videos. However, it’s important to note that while this feature maintains the video dimensions, some compression is still applied, preventing videos from being sent in their original quality. By default, the app will set the video quality to “Standard,” requiring users to manually select the “High Quality” option each time they want to send a video with better quality.

WhatsApp continues to innovate and introduce new features to enhance user experience and keep up with evolving communication trends. The animated avatar feature, once released, is expected to add a fun and expressive element to conversations, further enriching the messaging experience for WhatsApp users on Android.
