With the ever-increasing demand for digital services in Vietnam, Viettel has chosen to deploy Juniper’s MX960 Universal Routing Platform as a strategic move to fortify its network capabilities.
Vietnam’s Digital Transformation Landscape The digital landscape in Vietnam is rapidly evolving, with a staggering 77 million internet users. This growth trajectory has positioned Vietnam as the fastest-growing digital economy in Southeast Asia. Viettel Group, boasting a vast customer base of over 70 million mobile subscribers worldwide, plays a pivotal role in Vietnam’s digital landscape. Within the country, Viettel commands a significant 54 percent market share in the mobile sector and a substantial 40 percent share in the fiber internet market.
Fortifying Connectivity Through Partnership Viettel’s collaboration with Juniper Networks is a significant step towards supporting Vietnam’s digital transformation goals, which center around enhancing connectivity across the nation. Drawing from more than a decade of leveraging Juniper’s routing and security solutions, the partnership will involve the integration of Juniper’s MX960 Universal Routing Platform and MX-SPC3 Services Cards.
These network enhancements will notably augment Viettel’s capacity for carrier-grade network address translation (CGNAT), ensuring the seamless management of network traffic and the harmonious coexistence of IPv4 and IPv6 protocols.
Elevated User Experiences The outcome of this collaboration is anticipated to empower Viettel in efficiently expanding its portfolio of consumer mobile and fixed broadband services. This expansion will consequently translate to enriched user experiences across various domains, including online gaming, content streaming, professional applications, and beyond.
