Unlocking 5G Potential: Guwahati’s Innovative Experience Centre Ignites Telecom Progress

Guwahati, the vibrant city of Assam, has just ushered in a new era of telecommunication with the grand inauguration of the 5G Experience Centre. This remarkable initiative is the result of a fruitful collaboration between AMTRON, the Government of Assam, and the Telecom Sector Skill Council (TSSC). Notably, the visionary initiative was spearheaded by the North Eastern Council, Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region, Government of India. The esteemed inauguration was carried out by G Kishan Reddy, Minister of the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (MDoNER), marking a significant milestone in India’s telecommunications landscape.

The purpose of the 5G Experience Centre is to drive forward the implementation of 5G use cases and applications within the North Eastern region of India. As per the official statement by TSSC, Minister G Kishan Reddy also flagged off the groundbreaking ‘Skill on Wheels’ project initiated by TSSC. These courses will be fully funded by the North Eastern Council, a testament to the commitment towards empowering the region’s youth.

In addition to traditional courses, aspiring telecom professionals can access Massive Open Online Courses (MOOC) that align with TSSC Norms. These MOOC courses will be available in a digital format, enabling candidates to access them conveniently online.
