New Feature and Pet Policy Launched on National Pet Day to Support Pet Parents
In a bid to support pet owners and foster a pet-friendly workplace culture, Swiggy has introduced a groundbreaking feature on its app called the Swiggy Pawlice. This new addition empowers pet parents to report missing pets directly through the Swiggy platform, utilizing the extensive network of delivery partners for search efforts.
On the occasion of National Pet Day, celebrated on April 11, Swiggy also announced the launch of the “Swiggy Paw-ternity Policy,” aimed at offering comprehensive support to employees with pets.
How Swiggy Pawlice Works:
- Reporting Missing Pets: Pet owners can easily report their missing pets through the Swiggy app, providing crucial details and photographs.
- Utilizing Swiggy’s Delivery Network: With over 3.5 lakh delivery partners, Swiggy’s vast network plays a pivotal role in this initiative. Their frequent presence in various neighborhoods positions them well to assist in locating missing pets.
- Informing Swiggy’s Dedicated Team: If a delivery partner encounters a missing pet during their deliveries, they are instructed to promptly inform a dedicated team at Swiggy, providing relevant information and the pet’s location.
- Sharing Information with Pet Parents: Swiggy’s dedicated team swiftly shares the details with the concerned pet parent, enabling them to visit the location and hopefully reunite with their beloved pet.
- Celebrating Reunions: Swiggy acknowledges and celebrates every successful reunion, recognizing the efforts of delivery partners who go above and beyond to reunite pets with their owners. These partners receive rewards as tokens of appreciation from the company.
The launch event for this initiative saw the presence of notable personalities, including Shantanu Naidu, General Manager of Tata Trusts, House of the Chairman, and other passionate pet parents.
With the introduction of Swiggy Pawlice and the Swiggy Paw-ternity Policy, Swiggy aims to not only assist in reuniting lost pets with their families but also to create a more inclusive and supportive environment for pet owners within the workplace.
