When a ‘Jam’ is initiated, Spotify employs its advanced algorithms to recommend songs based on the host’s listening preferences, as well as the music tastes of all participants. However, participants have the flexibility to add any song to the queue. A unique feature of ‘Jam’ is its ability to display the profile picture of the individual who adds a song to the queue, facilitating recognition and interaction among participants.
How to Initiate a ‘Jam’ Session:
- Begin by selecting any playlist or song from the Spotify app.
- Tap either the three-dot menu or the speaker icon located at the bottom of the screen.
- Click on the “Start a Jam” button.
Users sharing the same Wi-Fi network will receive prompts to join the ‘Jam’ session automatically.
Inviting More Participants:
To expand the ‘Jam’ session and include more participants, users have several convenient options:
- Activate Bluetooth and tap phones together.
