Pixel 8 Pro Colors: Sky Blue, Porcelain, and Obsidian Black – Which One’s Your Pick?

The Pixel event is afoot and Google is ready to introduce its latest flagship phones, the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro, on October 4. As is the case with Google Pixels every year, most of the details have leaked and we know almost everything about the Pixel 8 series, including their color variants, specifications, and even pricing for certain regions. In this post, we’re going to talk about Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro colors with their leaked (but kind of official) images. So without further ado, let’s jump in.

Pixel 8 Colors

Thanks to reputed tipster Evan Blass, we have the official renders of Pixel 8 in their different colorways. According to the leak, Pixel 8 will be available in three color variations, including Peony Rose, Grey, and Obsidian Black. We’re not sure if these names will be marketed as such, but all leaks so far point towards them. Here are the potential color variants of the Google Pixel 8:

  1. Peony Rose
  2. Grey
  3. Obsidian Black

It’s also being said that the Pixel 8 will sport a matte glass design with a flat screen and symmetrical bezels. Keep in mind that the Pixel 8 is going to feature a 12MP ultrawide lens instead of a 48MP lens, which is available on the Pixel 8 Pro.

Pixel 8 Pro Colors

The Pixel 8 Pro again comes in three different color options, including Sky Blue, Porcelain, and Obsidian Black. Google is not going with funky colors this time as we saw with Pixel 7a’s Coral variant. The Sky Blue color might come across as too vibrant and “on-the-face,” but personally, I like it. Also, the Porcelain color looks fantastic in the renders with the polished aluminum frame. Which of the Pixel 8 Pro’s colorways do you like the most?

  1. Sky Blue
  2. Porcelain
  3. Obsidian Black

Not to forget, it was recently leaked that Google will promise “seven years of OS, security, and feature drop updates” with the Pixel 8 and 8 Pro. So that is a high benchmark the company is looking to set, beating Samsung and OnePlus in the Android ecosystem.

Overall, I am excited about the new Pixel 8 series, especially the in-house Google Tensor G3 chipset. It would be interesting to see how Google’s third-gen silicon stacks up against the Apple A17 Pro and Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. Apart from that, the Pixel 8 Pro will boast a 48MP telephoto lens with support for 5x optical zoom and up to 30x Super Res Zoom.

Not to mention, a new AI-powered feature called “Best Take” is also supposed to debut with the Pixel 8 series. Next, Google is bringing Pro controls to its camera app, which was long due. And strangely, the Pixel 8 Pro comes with a built-in Thermometer. Nevertheless, what do you feel about the new color options for Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro?
