In the aftermath of the unexpected removal of CEO Sam Altman, OpenAI is facing further turbulence as co-founder and President Greg Brockman has announced his resignation from the company. The abrupt changes in leadership have left the generative artificial intelligence community in speculation about the future trajectory of the pioneering organization.
Altman’s ouster came in the wake of a review that revealed issues of inconsistent communication with the board of directors, leading to a loss of confidence in his leadership. Mira Murati, OpenAI’s chief technology officer, has stepped in as the interim CEO, tasked with maintaining stability during the transition.
