LG Unveils Cutting-Edge 98-Inch Mini LED TV Set to Shine at CES 2024

LG, a leading brand in the world of televisions, is set to dazzle audiences at the upcoming Consumer Electronics Show (CES) with its latest innovation — a breathtaking 98-inch Mini LED TV. The tech giant, known for its exceptional OLED lineup, is expanding its horizons with the 2024 lineup of Mini LED televisions, referred to as QNED.

Head of the LG Home Entertainment Company’s Product Planning Division, Baik Seon-pill, expressed enthusiasm about the 2024 lineup’s capabilities, highlighting the α8 AI processor’s impressive features. This processor promises a 1.3-fold increase in AI performance, a 2.3-fold enhancement in graphic performance, and a processing speed that is 1.6 times faster.

“The LG 2024 LG QNED TV lineup takes the viewing experience to a whole new level with an advanced processor that enables outstanding audio-visual experiences across various screen sizes, while also providing a personalized user experience tailored to each individual’s unique lifestyle and preferences. We remain committed to delivering an unparalleled customer experience, drawing upon our decade-long expertise with webOS.”

The new models introduce AI Picture Pro, leveraging deep learning to enrich texture and fine details by distinguishing faces, objects, and backgrounds within a scene. Dynamic Tone Mapping Pro, another feature, analyzes each picture block in real-time, detecting the darkest and brightest areas for precise HDR optimization and delivering three-dimensional image quality.

Moreover, the 2024 QNED TVs aim to provide a comprehensive home entertainment experience with virtual 9.1.2 surround sound from built-in speakers, promising an immersive audio experience. The integrated webOS operating system receives a significant update, allowing users to create multiple profiles for a personalized viewing experience.

To enhance user convenience, LG introduces the webOS Re:New program, offering an upgrade to the latest version of its webOS smart TV platform for the next five years. Initially available for LG QNED Mini LED 8K models launched in 2022, the program will extend to additional models in the QNED TV lineup globally.

Consumers can anticipate the 2024 QNED lineup in various sizes, including 43, 50, 55, 65, 75, 86, and the impressive new 98-inch screen. The first glimpse of these groundbreaking televisions will be at CES in January. This announcement follows LG’s recent revelation of the “world’s first Dual-Hz gaming monitor” capable of reaching a 480Hz refresh rate, showcasing the company’s commitment to pushing technological boundaries.
