Juspay Expands Mobility Horizons: Launches Mana Yatri, an Auto and Cab-Hailing App in Hyderabad

Juspay Technologies, renowned for revolutionizing the auto-rickshaw booking market with Namma Yatri in Bengaluru, has now introduced Mana Yatri, a comprehensive ride-hailing app in Hyderabad. The app, a part of the Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC), offers users the convenience of booking autos and cabs while presenting a groundbreaking zero-commission model for drivers.

Mana Yatri’s launch is backed by the Telangana government and receives support from the prominent incubator T-Hub. Emphasizing the innovation and commitment behind the app, T-Hub CEO Mahankali Srinivas Rao stated, “This app is a testament to Hyderabad’s spirit of innovation and the government’s commitment to empowering drivers while offering affordable transportation to people.”

Shaik Salauddin, founder state president of the Telangana Gig and Platform Workers Union (TGPWU), expressed congratulations to Mana Yatri, highlighting the app’s direct-to-driver, open mobility platform designed to empower the community and ensure fair pay and mutual respect.

Mana Yatri, an extension of the Namma Yatri family of apps, boasts impressive statistics, including 2.1+ lakh drivers, 50+ lakh customers, and 2.7+ Cr completed trips. The mobility app promises an elevated user experience for special zone pickups and envisions enhancing first and last-mile connectivity by integrating with public transport.

Leveraging the ONDC Network, Mana Yatri gains a robust technological infrastructure and access to a vast customer base. The app has successfully onboarded over 25,000 drivers in Hyderabad, with ambitious plans to reach 1 lakh drivers within the next three months.

The Mana Yatri launch aligns with Namma Yatri’s strategic expansion initiatives. The auto-hailing app, in collaboration with ONDC, recently made inroads into the Chennai and Delhi markets. Namma Yatri already stands as a key player in seven cities, including Bengaluru, Mysuru, Hyderabad, and Kolkata.

Developed by Juspay and supported by Nandan Nilekani’s Beckn Foundation, the Namma Yatri app, introduced in late 2022, aims to challenge industry giants like Ola and Uber, addressing driver dissatisfaction by introducing a zero-commission model.
