iQOO Z7 Pro: Key Specifications Unveiled Ahead of India Launch

iQOO is all set to launch the much-anticipated iQOO Z7 Pro on August 31 in India, and the excitement is palpable. As part of its strategy to build anticipation, iQOO has dropped some key specifications of the upcoming smartphone, creating a buzz among tech enthusiasts. The iQOO Z7 Pro is expected to offer a 5G MediaTek chipset, impressive 64MP cameras on the rear, a high refresh rate AMOLED display, and more.

One of the standout features of the iQOO Z7 Pro is its 3D Curved AMOLED display, which boasts a remarkable 120Hz refresh rate. Complemented by anti-glare glass on the back panel, this combination promises a captivating visual experience. The phone’s main attraction lies in its 64MP primary camera on the rear, equipped with optical image stabilization (OIS) and an aura light LED flash. While the exact MediaTek processor variant remains under wraps, the company has confirmed its MediaTek origin.

Although comprehensive specifications will be unveiled during the official launch, speculations are rife that the iQOO Z7 Pro 5G will fall within the mid-range category. Following in the footsteps of its predecessor, the iQOO Z7, the upcoming model is likely to feature a MediaTek Dimensity 7200 5G processor, as per several leaks. An earlier report suggested an impressive score of over 700,000 points on the AnTuTu benchmarking platform. In addition to these speculations, rumors suggest a possibility of the Snapdragon 782G chipset, akin to the OnePlus Nord CE 3, though this version might be confined to the Chinese market. Expectedly, it will offer a baseline of 8GB RAM coupled with either 128GB or 256GB of internal storage, maintaining a slim profile at just 7.36mm thickness.

The iQOO Z7 Pro is anticipated to showcase a generous 6.78-inch AMOLED panel boasting a 120Hz refresh rate and Full-HD+ resolution. There’s also a likelihood of some form of front glass protection, reminiscent of the Panda Glass protection featured in the iQOO Z6 Pro. Speculations continue, hinting at a 2MP secondary sensor for depth and macro photography. Notably, the device might incorporate a substantial battery with 66W fast charging support. On the software front, it is expected to run on Android 13 OS with FunTouch OS 13 as the user interface. Anticipating an in-display fingerprint scanner, iQOO seems to have bypassed a side-mounted option, as indicated in promotional images. Lastly, the iQOO Z7 Pro will be a 5G-enabled device, likely featuring a dual SIM slot to enhance connectivity.
