Google Photos Unveils ‘Cinematic Moment’ Feature: Enhancing Videos Automatically

Google Photos is set to introduce a new feature called ‘Cinematic Moment,’ designed to enhance videos by automatically adding slow-motion effects. This feature is reminiscent of the existing ‘Cinematic Photos’ tool, which generates 3D-like images.

Automatic Enhancement

The ‘Cinematic Moment’ feature in the Google Photos app will analyze videos and select specific parts to slow down, creating a captivating effect. This process is entirely automatic, eliminating the need for users to manually edit their videos.

Development Phase

Discovered by Assemble Debug (Android Authority) during an APK teardown of Google Photos app version 6.84.0.634885033, the ‘Cinematic Moment’ feature is still in development. The code suggests that the feature will be capable of identifying moments within a video and applying slow-motion effects accordingly.

Future Release

While not all features uncovered in development code are ultimately released to the public, this new addition is expected to be available in a future update of Google Photos. Once implemented, users will have a convenient tool at their disposal for effortlessly enhancing their videos without the need for manual editing.

Stay tuned for further updates on the release of the ‘Cinematic Moment’ feature in Google Photos, promising an exciting new way to elevate your video content with ease.
