In July, the FCC granted Milachi Media experimental temporary authority (STA) to conduct testing of 5G-based broadcast services, marking a pivotal moment in the evolution of broadcasting technology.
The 5G Broadcast proof of concept was carried out by Milachi Media-owned TV station WWOO-LD, with crucial support from Qualcomm. This demonstration represents a significant milestone in the US media industry, particularly in the realms of video delivery and public safety.
