Apple Enhances iCloud.com with Expanded Features for Drive, Mail, and Notes

Apple has unveiled a revamped version of iCloud.com, introducing a host of new features designed to enhance user productivity and convenience. This update comes on the heels of recent software upgrades to iOS, iPadOS, and macOS, further solidifying Apple’s commitment to improving its ecosystem.

The redesigned iCloud.com now offers an array of improvements, including support for browser notifications for Mail and Calendar on PC, a customizable home page with quick action capabilities, and a dynamic slideshow view for photos.

One of the standout features of the update is the ability to take direct actions from the iCloud.com home page. Users can seamlessly download files, delete emails, mark messages as unread, and check off tasks from their reminders list, all without navigating to separate sections of the website.

In addition to this, users can now receive browser notifications on their PCs for iCloud-related events, such as new emails or calendar invitations. This functionality brings added convenience to users who prefer to access iCloud services from their web browsers.

Apple has also streamlined the iCloud Drive experience. Users can now view files in a list format and preview them before downloading, simply by pressing the spacebar after selecting a file. This feature enhances efficiency when managing files stored in iCloud Drive.

The update extends to iCloud’s email services as well. Users can create new iCloud email addresses directly from the web interface, and an “undo send” option is now available, providing an extra layer of control over outgoing emails. Additionally, users can attach files and photos directly from iCloud Drive or Photos, streamlining the email composition process.

The Photos web app has not been left out of the improvements. It now supports Memories and features a slideshow view, making it easier for users to relive their cherished moments.

With these enhancements, iCloud.com is set to become a more powerful and user-friendly platform for both casual and regular users. It aligns with Apple’s ongoing commitment to improving its cloud-based services and ensuring a seamless user experience across its ecosystem.

Earlier this month, Apple announced new iCloud+ subscription tiers during its Wanderlust event. These tiers offer increased storage options, with 6TB storage available for a monthly subscription of $29.99 and 12TB storage at a monthly subscription price of $59.99. These expanded storage offerings cater to users with growing digital storage needs.
