Airtel Strengthens Connectivity: Network Expansion Reaches Nashik District in Maharashtra

In a significant stride towards bolstering its network footprint, Bharti Airtel has successfully completed the Nashik network enhancement project, covering 1250 villages and a population base of 26 lakh in the Nashik district of Maharashtra. This move follows Airtel’s recent efforts in Wayanad and Kozhikode Districts of Kerala, marking a commitment to widespread connectivity.

Key Highlights of the Nashik Network Enhancement Project:

Airtel’s network expansion in Nashik is set to benefit customers in various tehsils, including Igatpuri, Trimbakeshwar, Dindori, Peth, Kalwan, Surgana, Chandwad, Deola, Baglan, Malegaon, Nandgaon, Yeola, Niphad, and Sinnar. The telecommunications giant aims to enhance connectivity for a seamless experience across 4G, 5G, Broadband, and Fiber services.

Focus on Tourist Destinations:

Acknowledging the importance of supporting Indian tourism, Airtel has strategically improved its network coverage in popular tourist destinations within Nashik. Areas like Ramkund, Sula Vineyards, Pandavleni Caves, and Kalaram Temple now boast better network connectivity, ensuring that Airtel services are available even in remote locations.

Airtel’s National Rural Enhancement Project:

The Nashik network expansion is part of Airtel’s larger Rural Enhancement Project (REP), aiming to augment network connectivity across 60,000 villages in India by 2024. In Maharashtra alone, the company plans to cover 5,000 villages, contributing to the state’s overall digital transformation.

REP in Maharashtra:

Airtel’s rural enhancement project in Maharashtra spans nine districts, including Ahmednagar, Sambhaji Nagar, Bid, Jalgaon, Nashik, Solapur, Nanded, Jalna, and Buldana. This initiative facilitates expanded coverage in rural villages, ensuring that even remote and unconnected areas receive improved services.

The company has not only expanded its network presence but has also bolstered its fiber capabilities in the state, anticipating the growing demand for high-speed data services. Airtel’s comprehensive network in the region now encompasses urban, semi-urban, and rural areas, including highways, tourist destinations, and trade centers.

As Airtel continues to invest in rural connectivity, this network expansion in Nashik reflects the company’s commitment to providing seamless and reliable communication services to every corner of the country.
