In an exciting turn of events at the Gadre Marine MSLTA – ITF Junior Grade 3 U18 tennis Championships for the M.V. Deo Trophy, young tennis prodigies are set to battle it out in the finals. Arnav Paparkar’s remarkable journey, Laxmisiri Dandu’s upset victory, and Maya Rajeshwaran’s top-seed dominance have paved the way for an enthralling finale.

  1. Arnav Paparkar’s Sensational Run: Local wildcard Arnav Paparkar, 15, continued his extraordinary performance, defeating second-seeded Indian compatriot Kriish Tyagi 3-6, 6-3, 6-3, securing a spot in his first-ever ITF Juniors final.
  2. All-Indian Girls Final: Maya Rajeshwaran, the top seed, booked her place in the girls singles finals with a solid 6-3, 7-5(5) win over Ariana Gogulina of Kazakhstan. She will face the unseeded Laxmisiri Dandu, who caused an upset by defeating second seed Mandegar Farzami of Iran 2-6, 6-4, 6-2.
  3. Boys Doubles Victory: Kriish Tyagi, despite his singles loss, clinched the boys doubles title partnering with Cahir Warik. They secured a hard-fought 5-7, 6-4, 10-8 win over Hitesh Chauhan and Rethin Senthil Kumar.
  4. Girls Doubles Triumph: Laxmisiri Dandu, having an impressive outing, teamed up with Aishi Bisht to claim the girls doubles title. They secured a 6-4, 6-4 victory against Sreenidhi Balaji and Rishita Basi Reddy.
  5. Prize Distribution: The winners were awarded the MV Deo Trophy along with 75 ITF Points, while the runners-up received trophies and 45 ITF Points. The prizes were presented by Former Davis Cup Player Sandeep Kirtane, Mr. Ashwin Girme, Tennis Secretary of Deccan Gymkhana, and ITF Supervisor Leena Nageshkar.
