Rahul Shinde and Pragnya Mohan Triumph at Miniorange ITF Sprint National Triathlon Championships 2023

Pune, August 16, 2023: The Miniorange ITF Sprint National Triathlon Championships 2023, organized by the Maharashtra Triathlon Association under the aegis of the Indian Triathlon Federation, witnessed outstanding performances by Rahul Shinde and Pragnya Mohan. The event took place at the Shree Shivchatrapati Kreeda Sankul, Mhalunge Balewadi, Pune on August 16th.

A total of 29 female and 36 male athletes from 20 states participated in the championship, showcasing their skills in the fast-paced Sprint distance of 750m swim, 18.6km cycle, and 4.8km run.

In the men’s individual Sprint event, Rahul Shinde from SSCB emerged as the victor, clocking an impressive timing of 00:59:44. He clinched the gold medal, showcasing his remarkable capabilities in the triathlon. On the other hand, Pragnya Mohan from Gujarat triumphed in the women’s individual Sprint event, securing the gold medal with a total timing of 1:09:18.

The podium finishers were felicitated with medals and attractive prizes, adding a sense of achievement to their exceptional performances. The prizes were presented by notable personalities including Mr. Dayanand Kumar, President of Maharashtra Triathlon Association, Mr. Anirban Mukherjee, Founder & CEO of Miniorange Security Solutions, and Mr. Harish Prasad, Development Officer of the Indian Triathlon Federation.

Expressing his enthusiasm, Mr. Anirban Mukherjee, Founder & CEO of Miniorange, praised the well-organized nature of the event. He conveyed his eagerness to continue supporting future triathlon events, while also anticipating the upcoming Mixed Team Relay event scheduled for August 17.

The championship showcased the immense dedication and skill of the athletes, fostering a spirit of healthy competition and camaraderie among participants. The results for the top three positions in both the women’s and men’s groups reflect the sheer determination and perseverance displayed by Pragnya Mohan, Manasi Mohite, Sanjana Joshi, Rahul Shinde, Adarsh Murlidharan, and Yajat Aiyappa KP.
