Pune, 17th July 2023: In an action-packed football match, Loyola High School emerged victorious against Vidya Valley School, with Shikhar Shah stealing the spotlight with a sensational hat-trick. The match, part of the Loyola Football Cup powered by Tata Autocomp, showcased the immense talent and competitive spirit of both teams.

The Loyola H.S ground in Pashan witnessed an exciting clash between the two schools. The Bishop’s School, Camp and Loyola High School have been performing exceptionally well throughout the tournament, and this match was no exception. Loyola H.S displayed their dominance, winning all their matches on the day and ending with an impressive three-on-three record.

In the Under-14 section, Loyola H.S demonstrated their prowess with an outstanding 13-0 victory over SSPMS Boarding. Parth Shinde showcased his exceptional skills by scoring four goals (22nd, 25th, 33rd, 35th), while Kharanshu Gajare (2nd, 11th, 17th) and Param Kulkarni (8th, 14th, 21st) contributed with brilliant three-goal performances. Adhiraj Singh (36th, 39th) and Vedant Shitole (16th) added to the impressive tally, securing a resounding win for Loyola High School.

In the Under-16 section, Loyola H.S continued their winning streak with a dominant 10-3 victory over SSPMS Boarding. Vedant Kamble (14th, 34th, 43nd) and Vedant Gupta (21st, 47th – p, 55th) led the charge with their exceptional performances. Atharva Sonawane (3rd, 32nd), Darsh Kasat (40th), and Shubham Chaudhary (58th) also contributed to the team’s success. Despite the spirited fight from SSPMS Boarding, with goals from Shrinivas Mahale (30th, 60th) and Harsh Gawli (30+1 – p), Loyola H.S emerged as the clear winners.

In the Under-12 section, Shaun Angre (15th) became Loyola H.S’ hero as his goal secured a 1-0 victory over SSPMS Boarding, marking their third win of the day.

In another exciting match, The Bishop’s School, Camp dominated Vidya Valley School in the Under-14 section, winning convincingly with a scoreline of 11-0. Arjun Deshpande (1st, 2nd, 28th) and Shikhar Shah (3rd, 21st, 23rd) stood out with their remarkable goal-scoring abilities. Joshua Songate (6th), Zaid Baig (10th), Aaryan Kirtane (11th), Samuit Kasat (12th), and Diuyan Kaushik (15th) also made valuable contributions to the team’s victory.

The Bishop’s School, Camp continued their winning streak in the Under-16 and Under-12 sections, securing identical 3-0 victories over Vidya Valley School.
