NHL Scores Big with Multi-Year Partnership: NFP Named Official Business Insurance Brokerage Partner

In a strategic move, the National Hockey League (NHL) has inked a multi-year partnership with leading Canadian insurance company NFP, designating them as the official business insurance brokerage partner. This collaboration opens the door to exclusive marketing rights and designations for NFP, facilitating direct engagement with the NHL and its fan base through various channels.

As part of the agreement, NFP’s presence will extend to NHL stadium systems, specifically the Digitally Enhanced Dashboards, where dynamic graphics can be overlaid on actual dasherboards. This innovative approach allows for tailored messages and advertising directed at specific broadcasting markets by the league and its teams.

The partnership ensures that the NFP name and logo will enjoy visibility at NHL events through branded dasherboards and in-arena and in-stadium signage. Keith Wachtel, Chief Business Officer and Senior Executive Vice President at the NHL, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, emphasizing the value NFP sees in connecting with the NHL audience to drive business.

Wachtel stated, “NFP sees the immense value the NHL audience can deliver to drive business, and through our partnership, NFP will be able to tell impactful stories to NHL fans and NFP customers around ways we are working together while also engaging with future customers through unforgettable hospitality experiences at tentpole league events.”

Doug Hammond, Chair and Chief Executive at NFP, highlighted the longevity and success of their partnership with the NHL. He said, “Long-term partnerships are at the heart of NFP’s success and our relationship with the NHL is one that we are particularly proud of. Over the past several decades, we’ve supported the league’s growth and success with specialized risk management expertise and insurance solutions. We look forward to continuing to deliver value to the NHL’s business while seizing the opportunities of this new element of our partnership.”
