A video that recently went viral, depicting former Indian cricket captain Kapil Dev seemingly being abducted and taken to a room by unknown individuals, sent shockwaves among cricket fans and fellow players. Gautam Gambhir, former cricketer and Member of Parliament, had earlier expressed his concerns for Kapil Dev’s safety.
Gambhir took to Twitter to voice his apprehensions, posting, “Has anyone else received this clip as well? Let’s hope it’s not actually Kapil Dev, and that Kapil Paaji is safe!”
However, it has now come to light that the video was, in fact, part of a promotional shoot for the upcoming One Day International (ODI) World Cup scheduled to be held in India.
Known for his candid presence on social media, Gautam Gambhir expressed his relief and humor in response to the revelation, stating, “Well played, Kapil Dev Paaji! You will win the Acting World Cup as well! Now, always remember that the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup is free on @DisneyPlusHS mobile.”
