Indian Contingent Thrives: Four Players Reach Quarterfinals at ITF Dharwad Men’s WTT

Dharwad, In the ITF Dharwad Men’s World Tennis Tour 2023, all the seeded players successfully advanced to the quarterfinals of the USD 25,000 event. The top seed, Nick Chappell from the USA, led the way by defeating Karan Singh with a score of 6-4, 6-4. Several seeded Indian players, including Digvijay Pratap Singh, Ramkumar Ramanathan, Sidharth Rawat, and SD Prajwal Dev, also secured their spots in the quarterfinals.

Ramkumar Ramanathan faced a challenging match against Ishaque Eqbal, falling behind 4-1 in the first set but ultimately winning it in a tie-breaker. In the second set, Ramkumar broke his opponent’s serve to go 3-0 up and sealed the match in 1 hour and 28 minutes.

Karan Singh of India displayed a strong fight against top seed Nick Chappell, despite earlier playing a grueling first-round match. Karan won the second set 3-0 but was unable to maintain the momentum, making unforced errors that allowed Chappell to secure the set and the match.
