In a surprising revelation, Anirudhsinh Jadeja, father of Indian cricketer Ravindra Jadeja, has disclosed the strained relationship with his son and daughter-in-law, Rivaba. The family saga includes accusations of property disputes, estrangement, and political rivalries.
Anirudhsinh Jadeja expressed the deterioration in his bond with Ravindra after the cricketer’s marriage to Rivaba. He disclosed to Divya Bhaskar, “I have absolutely no relation with Ravindra and his wife, Rivaba. We don’t call them, and they don’t call us. The issues started after two or three months of their marriage.”
The cricketer’s father blamed Rivaba for creating a division within the family, lamenting that he doesn’t even get to see his son, who lives in a separate bungalow in the same city. Anirudhsinh regretted making Ravindra a cricketer, stating, “It would have been better if he hadn’t become a cricketer. We would not have to go through all this in that case.”
Accusing Rivaba of taking control of Ravindra’s wealth and property, Anirudhsinh claimed, “Within three months of the marriage, she told me that everything should be transferred to her name. She created a rift in our family.”
Furthermore, he suggested that Ravindra’s in-laws were interested only in his money, emphasizing the lack of connection with his granddaughter in five years. Anirudhsinh expressed concern over the interference of Rivaba’s family in their affairs.
Ravindra Jadeja and Rivaba got engaged in February 2016 and married in April of the same year. The revelation of the family feud comes amid political rivalry between Rivaba and Ravindra’s sister Naynaba, who contested Gujarat Assembly Elections in 2022 for different parties.
Naynaba, associated with the Congress party, criticized her sister-in-law during the elections but affirmed that it wouldn’t affect her love for her brother. Despite the family disputes, Rivaba emerged victorious in the election, securing 57.9 percent of the vote share.
