Ramaswamy’s Presidential Blueprint: Mass Layoffs, Visa Overhaul, and Musk as Advisor

As the Republican presidential candidate for 2024, Indian-origin politician Vivek Ramaswamy has unveiled a series of ambitious and contentious plans for the future of America. These include substantial layoffs across various government departments, the elimination of H-1B visas, and a surprising proposal to bring in tech magnate Elon Musk as a White House advisor.

Washington DC: Vivek Ramaswamy, the Indian-American presidential hopeful, is making waves with his audacious proposals for the White House. In his bid for the presidency, the Republican candidate has put forth an array of plans for America in 2024. These proposals encompass the overhaul of H-1B visas, widespread layoffs across government departments, and the potential appointment of Elon Musk as a White House advisor.

Ramaswamy’s unorthodox approach has catapulted him to the second position in the Republican Presidential Race, trailing closely behind former President Donald Trump, who maintains his lead despite ongoing legal challenges.

Mass Deportation: Emulating Donald Trump’s immigration stance, Ramaswamy has pledged to address immigration issues aggressively. Speaking during a campaign event in Iowa, he declared his intent to deport U.S. citizens born to undocumented migrants. Furthermore, Ramaswamy asserted that these citizens and their families would also face deportation, signaling an uncompromising stance on immigration.

End of H-1B Visas: Labeling the H-1B visa program as a form of “indentured servitude,” Ramaswamy has expressed a desire to dismantle the existing lottery-based system. He argues that the H-1B system benefits only the sponsoring companies and is detrimental to all other parties involved. In his words, “The lottery system needs to be replaced by actual meritocratic admission. It’s a form of indentured servitude that only accrues to the benefit of the company that sponsored an H-1B immigrant. I’ll gut it.”

Elon Musk as Advisor: Should he secure the presidency, Ramaswamy has articulated his intention to appoint Elon Musk, the CEO of SpaceX and Tesla, as an advisor to the White House. He cited Musk’s recent layoffs at Twitter as an indicator of Musk’s potential advisory prowess, stating, “I have enjoyed getting to know Elon Musk better recently. I expect him to be an interesting adviser of mine because he laid off 75 percent of the employees at Twitter.”

Government Overhaul and Mass Layoffs: Ramaswamy envisions a substantial restructuring of the federal government, believing that elected officials should be the primary administrators. As part of this plan, he intends to disband the FBI and shut down several key government departments, including the Department of Education, Nuclear Regulatory Commission, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, and Food and Nutrition Service. Additionally, Ramaswamy aims to terminate more than 75 percent of federal employees.

Vivek Ramaswamy’s unconventional proposals have ignited intense debates and discussions within the political landscape. As the presidential race unfolds, the public’s reaction to his bold vision for America in 2024 remains a topic of significant interest.
