Pune: Political Leader Faces Legal Action for Hindering Road Concretization Work in Baner

Pune, 1st July 2023: Madhukar Musale, a former corporator of the Pune Municipal Corporation and a leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), has found himself in legal trouble after being booked by the Pimpri Chinchwad police. The charges stem from allegations that Musale obstructed the ongoing road concretization work in the Baner area. The incident was reported by a junior engineer from the Pune Municipal Corporation, who lodged a complaint with the police.

According to the police, the incident occurred on Friday afternoon when officials from the Pune Municipal Corporation were carrying out digging work for the road concretization project near the Pashan-Sus flyover in Baner. It was during this time that Madhukar Musale approached the officials and demanded that they halt the work. He claimed ownership of the land and stated that he possessed the necessary documents to support his claim. Despite the objections raised by Musale, the PMC officials were unable to proceed with the work. Subsequently, they approached the police to file a formal complaint regarding the incident.

A case has been registered against Madhukar Musale at the Hinjewadi police station under section 353 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), which pertains to the offense of obstructing a public servant in the discharge of their duties. The police have initiated an investigation into the matter to gather all relevant facts and evidence.
