MP Supriya Sule

Pune: MP Supriya Sule has requested the Central government to address the traffic congestion issues in Bhugaon and Ghotavade Phata, Pune. With no possibility of road widening in Bhugaon due to the presence of a temple and a village, Sule has proposed the construction of a bypass road to alleviate the traffic jams that persist in the area.

In a letter addressed to Union Minister of Roads and Highways Nitin Gadkari, Sule emphasized the urgent need for a bypass road in Bhugaon to ensure smoother traffic flow. Additionally, she called for the construction of a flyover at Ghotavade Phata to ease congestion caused by vehicles from Pune and surrounding areas.

The national highway that runs from Pune to Kolad passes through Bhugaon and Ghotavade Phata. The current road width limitations due to the presence of a temple and village have resulted in continuous traffic congestion. Recognizing the significance of addressing this issue, Sule has actively pursued the matter with the central government.

By constructing a bypass road in Bhugaon and a flyover at Ghotavade Phata, the aim is to mitigate traffic congestion and provide a more efficient transportation experience for commuters.
