BJP Gears Up for 2024 Lok Sabha Polls: Central Election Panel to Meet Under Nadda’s Leadership

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is set to kickstart preparations for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections with the first meeting of the central election committee scheduled for Thursday. Chaired by BJP President JP Nadda, the meeting will see the participation of top leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh. The agenda includes discussions on the selection of candidates for the upcoming polls.

Central Election Committee’s Agenda:

  • Candidate Selection:
The central election committee is expected to deliberate on the names of at least 100-120 candidates for the Lok Sabha elections. The focus will be on identifying strong candidates who can secure victory in constituencies across the country.
  • Analysis of Past Elections:
Leaders will review the party’s performance in the 2014 and 2019 Lok Sabha elections, particularly looking at seats that were lost. This retrospective analysis aims to strategize and reclaim seats in the upcoming polls.
  • Core Group Committee Meeting:
Ahead of the central election committee meeting, BJP President JP Nadda will lead a discussion with the core group committee at the party headquarters. The core group will include Home Minister Amit Shah, BL Santosh, state officials, BJP chief ministers, and other key leaders.
  • ‘GYAN’ Strategy:
The BJP is set to focus on the ‘GYAN’ strategy coined by Prime Minister Modi, emphasizing the upliftment of ‘Garib’ (poor), ‘Yuva’ (youth), ‘Annadata’ (farmers), and ‘Nari’ (women). The party aims to strengthen its outreach to these four crucial sections of the population.
  • Leadership Campaign:
Prime Minister Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, and BJP National President JP Nadda are gearing up for an extensive campaign to connect with voters across the country. The party aims to secure a significant number of seats, aligning with PM Modi’s target of 370-plus.

The meeting comes as the BJP intensifies its efforts to engage with voters through conferences and outreach programs in the run-up to the Lok Sabha elections. The party is determined to achieve electoral success and work towards its ambitious targets for both the BJP and the National Democratic Alliance (NDA).
