Ajit Pawar’s photo removed from NCP’s Pune office, replaced with Jayant Patil’s photo

PUNE: After a vertical split in the NCP, a row has started because both factions have staked claim to the party’s name and its symbol. The matter is being looked into by the Election Commission of India (ECI). Meanwhile, an update from the city office of the NCP is available. The photos of Ajit Pawar have been removed from NCP’s office. In place of Ajit Pawar’s photo, photos of State Unit Chief of NCP (Sharad Pawar faction) have been put up.

Sharad Pawar had told the Ajit Pawar faction not to use his photos. Now, the Sharad Pawar faction has removed Ajit Pawar’s photos. Earlier, photos of Praful Patel had been removed from NCP’s Delhi office.

Now, the legal battle for the party’s name and symbol has started. The ECI has sent notices to the Sharad Pawar faction and Ajit Pawar faction. The notices have been sent over a petition submitted by the Ajit Pawar faction.

After the split in the NCP, both factions are staking claims over the party’s name. According to the available information, the ECI has told both the factions to submit necessary legal documents.
