Union Minister Nitin Gadkari has initiated legal proceedings against Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and General Secretary Jairam Ramesh, serving them with legal notices for disseminating content on the Congress’s official X account, which Gadkari contends is defamatory.
The legal notices assert that the Congress leaders intentionally distorted a 19-second video clip, taken out of context from Gadkari’s interview with a news portal. Gadkari’s lawyer claims that the content was strategically manipulated to create confusion and tarnish the minister’s reputation.
The notices call for the immediate removal of the video from the Congress’s official X account and demand a written apology within three days. Failure to comply within the stipulated timeframe may result in legal consequences.
The Congress leaders are accused of intentionally sowing discord within the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and attempting to damage Gadkari’s public image.
