Two Workers Apprehended in Kerala for Suspected Molestation of a Minor

Kochi, Oct 21 The Kerala Police on Saturday arrested two workers from Assam for molesting a minor girl following a complaint lodged by her mother about the crime.

The police in Perumbavoor said the three-year-old victim and her mother are also from Assam.

In her complaint, the woman alleged that her daughter was playing near the plywood factory where her father and the two accused worker worked at on Friday evening.

The woman said her daughter told her of the incident after which she was taken for a medical examination, during which it was found that she was suffering from pain in her private parts.

The police were informed shortly.

An FIR has been registered under the POCSO Act and the police are questioning the two in custody.

Perumbavoor is home to a large number of migrant labourers, some of them are living with their families.
