Teenage Girl Attempts to Escape To Pakistan To Meet Instagram Friend: Jaipur Authorities Foil The Plan

Jaipur, 29th July 2023: Airport authorities in Jaipur foiled a teenage girl’s attempt to escape to Pakistan to meet an online friend she had connected with on Instagram. The incident took place on Friday when the girl, a minor from Sikar’s Shrimadhopur, tried to travel to Pakistan without the necessary documents for international travel. The quick action by airport officials prevented her from boarding a flight, and she was subsequently handed over to the police for further investigation.

Airport Station Officer Digpal Singh stated that the girl did not possess the required travel documents, and there were no direct flights from Jaipur to Pakistan, raising suspicions about her travel plans.

As per a report by India Today, the girl had fabricated a false story, claiming to be a resident of Pakistan who had come to India to stay with her aunt. She alleged that due to a strained relationship with her aunt, she wanted to return to Pakistan.

However, during the interrogation, the girl finally admitted the truth. She revealed that her real motive was to meet an Instagram friend from Pakistan, who had provided her with guidance on navigating airport security.

Upon uncovering the truth, the authorities handed the girl over to the police. The girl’s family has been informed, and arrangements are being made to return her to their care.

Interestingly, this incident occurred shortly after another incident involving a 34-year-old married woman from Alwar, Rajasthan. The woman legitimately traveled to Pakistan using a valid passport and visa to meet a Facebook friend, with whom she later entered into marriage.
