Chennai, [Date]: Passengers on a New Delhi-bound Air India flight experienced a delay on Saturday evening due to an unexpected technical issue that arose at Chennai Airport.
According to the information available, the airline swiftly executed alternative plans to ensure the convenience of the waiting passengers.
In line with Air India’s unwavering commitment to prioritize the safety of passengers and crew, the aircraft was temporarily grounded for comprehensive engineering assessments to address the technical concern.
The flight, initially scheduled for departure at 9 p.m., was carrying around 166 passengers. Air India ensured the comfort of these passengers during the delay period by offering them the choice of hotel accommodations along with meals and refreshments.
While the majority of passengers chose to avail of the provided amenities, sources indicate that approximately 64 passengers decided to leave the airport due to the extended nature of the delay.
