Kolkata, February 6, 2024 – A passenger aboard SpiceJet’s SG 592 flight from Kolkata to Bagdogra raised concerns about inappropriate behavior by a fellow co-passenger, leading to immediate action by the airline’s cabin crew. The incident, which occurred on January 31, saw the swift intervention of the crew members, who promptly addressed the situation by relocating the accused passenger to ensure the comfort and safety of the woman.
According to the airline’s spokesperson, the woman, disturbed by the inappropriate behavior, brought the matter to the attention of the cabin crew during the flight. In response, the crew took decisive action, relocating the accused passenger’s seat to mitigate any potential distress for the concerned passenger.
Despite the woman’s initial demand for further action, she chose not to file a written complaint upon arrival in Bagdogra. The accused passenger issued an apology in the presence of Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) staff, and the matter was resolved without formal documentation.
SpiceJet, in a statement, reassured passengers that the airline is committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of all travelers. The prompt response by the cabin crew reflects the airline’s dedication to addressing passenger concerns promptly and effectively.
This incident comes on the heels of a bomb threat call received at the SpiceJet reservation office for flight SG 8496 from Darbhanga to Delhi on January 24. In that case, the flight landed safely, and the aircraft was isolated at Delhi airport following necessary protocols.
