PM Modi’s Playful Interaction with Maithili Thakur Steals the Show at National Creators Awards

In a delightful and unexpected moment, Prime Minister Narendra Modi engaged in a playful banter with Maithili Thakur, the recipient of the prestigious ‘Cultural Ambassador of The Year’ award, during the National Creators Awards. The lighthearted exchange was captured in a viral video, showcasing the prime minister’s humorous and spontaneous side.

During the award ceremony, PM Modi, with a smile, urged Maithili Thakur to perform for the audience, stating, “People are tired of listening to me all the time.” The singer graciously agreed to sing, leading to a witty response from the prime minister, “Oh, so you agree that people are tired of listening to me?” The playful interaction between the two drew laughter from the audience.

After receiving the award, Maithili Thakur shared a video expressing her joy about meeting PM Modi. The 23-year-old singer, previously praised by the prime minister for her musical talent, especially her rendition of a popular Ram bhajan, added a personal touch to the National Creators Awards.

The event, held in New Delhi, aimed to recognize digital creators across various categories for their impact on social change, environmental sustainability, education, and gaming. A total of 23 winners were celebrated, including renowned creators such as Kabita Singh, Ankit Baiyanpuria, Kamiya Jani, and Ranveer Allahbadia (BeerBiceps). The awards, determined through over 1.5 lakh nominations and 10 lakh votes, honored the significant contributions of digital creators.
