PM Modi to Inaugurate Boeing’s Cutting-Edge Tech Campus in Bengaluru

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to inaugurate Boeing’s state-of-the-art global engineering and technology innovation campus in Devanahalli, Bengaluru, near the Kempegowda International Airport on January 19. The 43-acre campus, built at a cost of Rs 1,600 crore, represents Boeing’s largest investment outside the United States and is expected to play a pivotal role in fostering collaborations with startups, the private sector, and the government ecosystem in India.

The Hightech Defence and Aerospace Park campus is positioned to be a hub for the development of next-generation products and services for the global aerospace and defence industry. As part of the inauguration, Prime Minister Modi will also launch a transformative Boeing program aimed at enhancing the participation of Indian women in the aviation sector. The program seeks to empower women from diverse backgrounds, encouraging their involvement in various facets of the Indian aviation industry.

Additionally, PM Modi is expected to unveil the Boeing Sukanya program, designed to support the entry of more girl children into India’s growing aviation sector. The program will provide opportunities for girls and women to acquire essential skills in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields, preparing them for roles in the flourishing aviation industry.

Boeing’s investment in the new campus and programs aligns with its commitment to contributing $100 million to infrastructure and training programs for pilots in India, announced last year.

Prime Minister Modi is scheduled to arrive at Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru around 2:10 pm today to inaugurate this significant milestone in aerospace technology and women’s empowerment in the country.
