The Jalandhar-Delhi Vande Bharat Express, inaugurated by the Prime Minister in December of the previous year, has garnered attention for its semi-high-speed operations. Commencing regular service on January 6, the train, operated six days a week, has become a crucial link between the two cities.

In a unique initiative, the government’s citizen engagement platform, “My Gov India,” has provided a firsthand glimpse into the passenger experience aboard the Vande Bharat Express in an X post on its platform.

The X handle of MyGovIndia invites users to “Experience the journey firsthand! Join a passenger’s firsthand account of the newly started Jalandhar to Delhi Vande Bharat Express.”

The video posted by MyGovIndia features a passenger sharing insights into various aspects of the journey, including the quality of food served, overall facilities and amenities, and the positives and negatives of the travel experience.

One notable feature of the Vande Bharat Express is its remarkable speed, covering the 448 km distance between Jalandhar and Delhi in just four hours and twenty minutes.

For those opting for the Vande Bharat Express from Jalandhar Cantt to Delhi, the ticket price stands at Rs 1095, marginally higher than the Shatabdi Express. The train comprises eight coaches with a total of 530 seats, including 44 reserved for executives. Noteworthy is the brief two-minute stop at Jalandhar, Ludhiana, and Ambala stations.
